Congressman Anthony D'Esposito has introduced H. Res. 1107, a resolution urging Israeli buy-in to subsequent policy developments related to the ongoing war against Hamas. The resolution emphasizes the importance of Israel's support for any changes in American foreign policy concerning the conflict.

In a statement, D'Esposito expressed, “Now more than ever, it is vital that the United States stands shoulder to shoulder with our Israeli allies in their fight against Hamas terrorists and other antisemitic forces.” He further added, "Passing this critical piece of legislation will go a long way towards preserving Israel’s security and ensuring that America is able to best support our greatest ally."

The introduction of this resolution follows criticism towards President Joe Biden and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield for abstaining from a vote on U.N. Security Council Resolution 2728, which passed despite being viewed as anti-Israel. In response, the majority of Israel's parliament rejected a unilateral recognition of a "Palestinian state."

D'Esposito emphasized the importance of the United States standing with Israel and ensuring Israeli approval in any negotiations moving forward, including discussions on a "ceasefire" or a "Palestinian state." The resolution aims to strengthen the partnership between the two countries and enhance Israel's security amid ongoing challenges in the region.
