Senator Patricia Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick has announced a book drive aimed at promoting literacy and sharing the joy of reading within the community. The initiative encourages residents to donate new or gently used books, offering an opportunity to support a love of learning.

"We know the power of a good book — it can inspire, educate, and open doors to new worlds," stated Senator Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick. "I encourage everyone to donate new or gently used books and help us make a difference in the lives of others."

Books can be donated at several locations: Lynbrook Public Library, Long Beach Public Library, Elmont Memorial Library, Peninsula Public Library, and Malverne Public Library. The collection will continue until February 7, 2025. All contributions will be given to Book Fairies, a non-profit organization that distributes books to underserved communities on Long Island.

For further details, contact Senator Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick’s office at (516) 766-8383.
