Nassau County issued the following announcement on April 8
I am pleased to see that the Board of Directors of the Nassau County IDA will be holding its monthly meeting this evening, via virtual conference. It is extremely important that we do what we can, by keeping our governmental processes moving, to support businesses and position future job creation and retention during these challenging times. Several important economic development projects will be on the agenda for preliminary inducements, kicking off the IDA’s consideration on these items. They include a retention initiative for long-time Nassau based company 1-800-Flowers.com, the Long Beach “Super Block” development proposal by Engel Burman and a hotel project in Jericho. All projects will still be subject to public hearings at a later date.
