Congressman Anthony D’Esposito (NY-04) recently led a coalition of first responders, current and former members of Congress, and others on a tour of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum in lower Manhattan. Additionally, Congressman D’Esposito joined House Homeland Security Chairman Rep. Mark Green, former New York Congressman Peter King, FDNY Commissioner Robert Tucker, and others for a wreath-laying ceremony at the Survivor Tree located at Ground Zero.

“As a retired NYPD Detective and former Island Park Fire Department Chief, I have seen firsthand the impacts of September 11th on New York’s first responders and the community at-large,” said Rep. D’Esposito. “Bringing congressional colleagues from different parts of the country to see the 9/11 Memorial and Museum and experience for themselves the impacts that dark day still has on our country is powerful and will help inform my colleagues surrounding my advocacy for 9/11 survivor health benefits, and more.”
