New York State Senator Steve Rhoads is set to commence the third year of his Mobile Office Hours initiative, aimed at fostering direct communication with constituents in Senate District 5. The program allows residents to engage in personal discussions with the senator about community issues.
Over the past two years, Senator Rhoads has conducted more than two dozen sessions, underscoring his commitment to understanding and addressing constituent concerns. He encourages community members to schedule appointments for these meetings, although walk-ins are accepted if time allows. The first series of Mobile Office Hours includes sessions at various public libraries across the district:
- January 19: Hicksville Public Library from 1:30pm to 3:30pm
- January 26: The Merrick Library from 1:30pm to 3:30pm
- February 1: Island Trees Public Library from 10:00am to 12:00pm
- February 15: Wantagh Public Library from 12:00pm to 2:00pm
- February 27: North Merrick Public Library from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
- April 16: Bethpage Public Library from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
- May 3: East Meadow Public Library from 10:00am to 12:00pm
- June 2: North Bellmore Public Library from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
