Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook-21st A.D.) informed Lynbrook residents today that he has successfully secured a $75,000 state grant for improvements to the Lynbrook Pool at Greis Park. Curran, who resides in Lynbrook and has frequented the pool with his family for many years, expressed his satisfaction over this achievement.

“The Lynbrook Pool has been an asset to the Lynbrook community for many years and I’m pleased I can secure these funds to keep Lynbrook a wholesome place to raise a family,” said Curran.

Despite having previously served as Lynbrook's mayor and being known for reducing taxes, Curran faced challenges in maintaining state funding in the local communities he represents. These include Baldwin, Freeport, Rockville Centre, Oceanside, South Hempstead, Valley Stream and East Rockaway.

Mayor Alan Beach expressed his pleasure with the positive development. He stated that the funds will be used to offset the cost of a new deck shade structure at the pool. This enhancement is one of several improvements planned for the pool this season.

“Last season, the pool had over 22,000 happy patrons of all ages, and we appreciate the continued hard work of the Assemblyman,” said Beach.
