Assemblyman Ed Ra has announced that the New York Conference of Italian-American State Legislators is accepting applications for its 2025 scholarship program. The scholarships aim to support students who excel academically, demonstrate leadership, and are involved in their communities. The opportunity is open to individuals regardless of Italian heritage.

Applications are now being accepted for the Sen. James D. Conte Memorial Academic Scholarship and the Sen. John J. Marchi Memorial Athletic Scholarship, with a deadline set for March 30, 2025, at 5 p.m. Each scholarship provides $3,000 to students pursuing higher education. Four scholarships will be awarded: two academic and two athletic, intended for New York state college students or college-bound high school seniors.

Winners will be revealed in April and invited to Albany on May 19, 2025, to receive their awards during the annual Italian-American Day Celebration.

“Helping students pursue their educational goals is one of the most impactful ways we can invest in our future generation,” said Ra. “I encourage all eligible students to apply and take advantage of this opportunity to support their academic journey.”

Further details can be found on the New York Conference of Italian-American State Legislators’ website.
