Today in Albany, Senator Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick, alongside the New York State Senate Republican Conference, introduced a legislative agenda titled "Liberate New York" for 2025. The agenda aims to address policy goals focused on improving the lives of everyday New Yorkers who they claim have been overlooked by what they describe as radical, progressive Democrats.

According to the statement, policies enacted by the Democratic establishment have negatively impacted quality of life and opportunities within the state. The Republicans attribute New York's leading position in outmigration since 2020 to these policies. They argue that the current majority has misplaced priorities and lacks understanding of New Yorkers' needs. In response, Senate Republicans propose a plan based on common sense to create a better future for the state's residents.

Senator Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick stated, “Albany has spent far too much, for too long, burdening New Yorkers with higher taxes and a soaring cost of living, costly energy mandates, and public safety policies that leave our communities feeling unsafe." She added that "radical Democrat-driven policies like cashless bail and sanctuary open door policies only make the lives of New Yorkers worse."

The proposed "Liberate New York" agenda is described as a comprehensive roadmap aimed at countering what Republicans see as harmful impacts from current policies while prioritizing the needs of state residents.
