Assemblyman Jake Blumencranz (R,C-Oyster Bay) attended a press conference earlier today in support of increasing funding for child care services across New York. Blumencranz was joined by his fellow members of the Minority conference as they called for historic investments for these vital programs. They specifically called for increasing the Empire State child credit, raising the state Earned Income Tax Credit amount from 30% to 45%, and expanding collaboration between school districts and child care agencies. These initiatives are focused on increasing the affordability and access to child care while reducing child poverty rates across the state. Blumencranz is committed to ensuring every family has access to these vital programs and is confident that these proposals will help strengthen our state’s child care programs.
