Senator Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick has demanded an update on the status of the Loop Parkway feasibility study, calling for more transparency and public engagement in the process. In a recent statement, the Senator emphasized the importance of keeping residents informed about the $250,000 study and all construction matters related to the Parkway.
"The status of the $250,000 feasibility study - and all other matters relating to construction on the Loop Parkway - should be provided directly to residents of Lido Beach, Point Lookout, and other affected areas," stated Senator Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick. The Senator highlighted the need for transparency, stating that it "can instill a sense of trust between agencies and our communities."
Expressing the need for the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) to engage the public effectively, Senator Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick urged for more information to be shared with the communities impacted by the Loop Parkway project. "I am calling upon the NYSDOT to meaningfully engage the public and provide more information about the status of this study, as well as strengthening their efforts to keep our communities safe and well-connected," the Senator emphasized.
