    Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook- 21st A.D) has announced his co-sponsorship of a proposal aimed at protecting sexual assault survivors. The proposal, known as A.1065, seeks to eliminate the voluntary incapacitation loophole in sexual assault cases, preventing the use of intoxication of the victim as a defense for sex crimes.Under the current law, individuals incapacitated as a result of their own actions are not protected under the rape statute.
