Assemblyman John Mikulin, representing Bethpage as a Republican and Conservative, has expressed his support for increased border security measures. He joined his colleagues in the Assembly Minority Conference to emphasize the importance of bolstering security at the U.S. border.

Mikulin's stance aligns with proposals from both Senate and Assembly Minority Conferences, which advocate for restoring cooperation between state law enforcement agencies and federal immigration authorities. These proposals aim to address current sanctuary policies in New York State.

"I support my colleagues in the Assembly and Senate Minority Conferences," stated Mikulin. "Cooperating with federal immigration authorities and strengthening security measures at the U.S. border will help keep our citizens safe."

Tom Homan, referred to as Border Czar, also endorsed these initiatives aimed at enhancing border security.
