State Senator Mikulin has expressed support for the Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) in its quest for state funding. He emphasized the hospital's critical role in providing healthcare services to residents of Nassau County.

"I was proud to stand with my colleagues in the Senate and the Assembly as well as residents of our Nassau County community to advocate for state funding of Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC)," Mikulin stated. He further noted, "NUMC plays a vital role in the health care system for Nassau County residents and the hospital deserves our support."

Mikulin highlighted concerns that NUMC has been underfunded by New York State, stressing the importance of legislative action. "For far too long, NUMC has been shortchanged by New York State," he said. He called on lawmakers to ensure adequate funding so that families can receive necessary medical treatment and care: "To ensure families in need receive the medical treatment and care they deserve, it is time for the New York State Legislature to step up and fund NUMC."
