78 percent of applicants to SUNY College at Old Westbury were admitted for fall 2018

At SUNY College at Old Westbury, 77 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 59 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Old Westbury enrolled 5,087 students in fall 2018, including 4,784 in undergraduate and 303 in graduate programs, data shows. 15.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

98 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (28 percent) and white (28 percent).

The school admitted 78 percent of the 4,756 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 18 percent enrolled.
