About 29.2 percent of the 1,180 degrees and certificates handed out by SUNY College at Old Westbury in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Westbury conferred 290 bachelor's degrees and 55 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general psychology. Data shows the school gave out 165 bachelor's degrees in general psychology, followed by 112 bachelor's degrees in accounting and 105 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management.

The college enrolled 5,087 students for 2017-18, including 4,784 in undergraduate programs and 303 in graduate programs.
