He was a five-time Pro Bowl selection and a three-time All-Pro. In Super Bowl V, he scored a notable 75-yard touchdown. Beyond his playing career, he served as the first president of the NFL Players Association post-merger, leading efforts to improve player benefits and challenging restrictive policies.
