The Federal Bureau of Investigation is examining allegations involving top officials from Long Island and New York in a potential scheme to dismantle Nassau University Medical Center. This revelation was made by Matthew Bruderman, the chairman of the public hospital, who spoke to the New York Post.

Bruderman has stated that he is actively "cooperating" with the investigation, which also involves the Department of Justice. The investigation is probing claims that the hospital suffered a loss exceeding $1 billion over several decades. This alleged loss, according to Bruderman, was orchestrated to ensure the failure of the medical center.

The full account of the investigation can be accessed through the New York Post.
