CONGRESSMAN ANTHONY D’ESPOSITO Secures $5.4 MILLION in Federal Funding for Community Projects in NY-04

Congressman Anthony D’Esposito has successfully secured an additional $5.4 million in federal funding for community projects in NY-04. This brings the total amount of federal community project funds secured by D’Esposito to over $20 million in 2024. The funding will support the construction of a new Emergency Operations Center in the Village of Freeport and the West End Recharge Basin project in the Village of Floral Park.

The Emergency Operations Center in the Village of Freeport will receive $1.35 million in funding. Congressman D’Esposito stated, "I am proud to have successfully secured this critical funding for important infrastructure projects that will benefit 4th District neighbors in significant ways."

Regarding the West End Recharge Basin project in the Village of Floral Park, which will receive $4.05 million in funding, Congressman D’Esposito emphasized, "Enhancing community resiliency against flooding and providing first responders with the resources they need to safeguard the public are palpable ways the federal government can work with local partners to make life better for Long Islanders."

In total, Congressman D’Esposito has brought back over $20 million in federal support to benefit a host of community projects in NY-04, demonstrating a commitment to improving infrastructure and enhancing public safety in the region.
