Nassau County ranked second in New York for resident earnings in 2018

Nassau County ranked second among counties in New York by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Nassau County residents was $42,999 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 445,517 households with a population of 1,356,564.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was New York County with $48,748 per year after adjusting for inflation – $5,749 more than Nassau County. It had 758,133 households with a population of 1,632,480.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Bronx County with $21,429 per year after adjusting for inflation – $21,570 less than Nassau County. It had 499,728 households with a population of 1,437,872.
