Nassau County ranked second in New York for resident earnings in 2019

Nassau County ranked second among counties in New York by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Nassau County residents was $45,285 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 446,977 households with a population of 1,356,509.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was New York County with $50,985 per year after adjusting for inflation – $5,700 more than Nassau County. It had 759,460 households with a population of 1,631,993.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Bronx County with $22,232 per year after adjusting for inflation – $23,053 less than Nassau County. It had 503,829 households with a population of 1,435,068.
