Of the 2,416 people living in Barnum Island in 2019, 41.2 percent (996) were women and 58.8 percent (1,420) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Nassau Standard.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 847-to-616. In the 65 and over age range, there were 259 females and 284 males.
