Senator Patricia Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick, a Republican representing New York, recently addressed several issues facing Long Island residents through a series of posts on her social media account.
On April 15, 2026, Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick promoted an educational opportunity for nurses in New York. The following day, she highlighted economic pressures on Long Island families due to increasing utility costs. On April 16, 2026, she posted: “Long Islanders are getting hit from every direction by rising costs. Electric bills are up as much as 20%, and water rates continue to climb for the third straight year, adding even more pressure on families already struggling to keep up. While costs rise, residents are left”.
Addressing public safety concerns on April 17, 2026, Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick stated: ‘”As a state, we need to tackle these challenges by providing tools to victims, victim advocates, and law enforcement to ensure survivors are getting the support they need and perpetrators of domestic violence are held accountable….”‘
Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick has been an advocate for public safety initiatives as well as fiscal responsibility and environmental protection within Long Island communities according to her official biography.
