On April 7, Senator Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick highlighted her participation in a community meeting in Elmont. She wrote, “Last night, I joined Elmont residents at the Community Unity Meeting to have a direct, open conversation about key issues, including the long-awaited Elmont Community Center. After years of delays, I remain committed to working with residents and civic leaders to help move this”.
The following day, she commented on the state budget process. On April 8 she posted: “Five years in charge. Five straight late budgets. No transparency. No accountability. While Albany delays, schools and local governments are left waiting, and taxpayers pay the price. That’s why I support the Budget Transparency Act (S.233) to ensure lawmakers and the public”.
