Plainedge Senior High School standout Anthony Di Chiara’s college team lost in NCAA Division III baseball game on Saturday, April 19

The New York Islanders lost 3-0 against Ottawa Senators at UBS Arena due to special teams struggles and missed scoring chances late in their playoff race push. Head Coach Pete DeBoer emphasized there is still hope heading into their final two games.

Matthew Schaefer scored his 23rd goal of his rookie campaign, tying an NHL single-season record for goals by a rookie defenseman. He also holds franchise and league records in other categories this year.
