The New York Islanders announced on Apr. 15 that forward Quinn Finley has signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the club.
Finley’s signing comes after a strong junior season at the University of Wisconsin, where he recorded 33 points in 37 games and led his team in goals. His performance highlights his potential as an asset for the Islanders as they look to strengthen their roster with young talent.
During his time with the Wisconsin Badgers, Finley played in 110 NCAA games over three seasons, tallying a total of 89 points. In the recent NCAA tournament, he contributed five points and helped his team reach the Frozen Four championship game. He was named to the Big-Ten Second All-Star Team in the previous season after leading his team with career-best numbers.
Before college hockey, Finley played three seasons in the United States Hockey League for both Chicago Steel and Madison Capitols, accumulating 100 points over 133 games. He also participated internationally for Team USA at events such as the Spengler Cup—where he helped secure a silver medal—and won gold at the IIHF Under-20 World Championship.
Finley was originally selected by the Islanders in the third round (78th overall) of the 2022 National Hockey League Draft.
