Nassau University Medical Center has introduced a new mammography van, which was recently showcased outside the hospital’s main entrance. This vehicle is designed to provide essential breast cancer screenings to women throughout Nassau County.

The initiative for this mobile breast cancer-screening unit was initially announced in October. Hospital administrators aimed to have the van operational by May. The new “MammoVan” will improve the quality of care available to patients, replacing an older model that had been in service since 2002.
