On Thursday, May 8, former W. Tresper Clarke High School standout Michelle Diaz’s current college team, the Bentley Falcons, lost 2-0 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans.
The game took place at Pace Softball Field. This was their third matchup against the Spartans this season.
The Falcons’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, May 10 at 1:30 p.m. at Pace Softball Field against D’Youville Saints.
Five high school seniors have been awarded $5,000 scholarships by the Islanders for achievements in hockey, academics, and community service. The recipients demonstrated strong leadership both on ice rinks and within their local areas.
Kyle Palmieri says his ACL recovery is going well following surgery in late November. He expects to have a normal summer of training and be ready for next hockey season.
The New York Islanders have signed forward Quinn Finley to a two-year entry-level contract following his standout collegiate career. Finley led Wisconsin in goals last season and has represented Team USA internationally. The young forward was drafted by New York in 2022.
