Locust Valley High School standout Sophia Veteri’s college team won in NCAA Division II softball game on Friday, May 2

On Friday, May 2, former Locust Valley High School standout Sophia Veteri’s current college team, the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans, won 7-3 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Mercy Mavericks.

The game took place at Spartan Field. This was their fifth matchup against the Mavericks this season.

The Spartans’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, May 3 at 11 a.m. at Spartan Field against D’Youville Saints.
