On Saturday, March 21, Kayleigh Heckel, a former Long Island Lutheran High School basketball standout, helped her college team, the UConn Huskies, claim a 90-52 victory over the UTSA Roadrunners in the NCAA Tournament.
The matchup happened at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion with a 3 p.m. tip-off.
Heckel recorded 11 points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals over 22 minutes on the court.
The UConn Huskies are scheduled to play their next game at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 23, again at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion.
