On Saturday, May 17, former Hempstead High School standout Julian Minaya’s current collegiate team the Seton Hill Griffins won 8-2 against the Millersville Marauders in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.
The game took place at Cooper Park at 4:15 p.m. and was the third matchup against the Millersville Marauders in the tournament.
The Seton Hill Griffins’ next game will take place on Friday, May 23 at 1 p.m. at Creekview Park.
Kyle Palmieri says his ACL recovery is going well following surgery in late November. He expects to have a normal summer of training and be ready for next hockey season.
The New York Islanders have signed forward Quinn Finley to a two-year entry-level contract following his standout collegiate career. Finley led Wisconsin in goals last season and has represented Team USA internationally. The young forward was drafted by New York in 2022.
