The New York Islanders announced on March 26 that they will host their annual Pride Night during Thursday’s game against the Dallas Stars at UBS Arena. The event aims to celebrate and support the LGBTQIA+ community through various activities, themed merchandise, and partnerships.

This year marks the fifth consecutive season that the Islanders have incorporated rainbow-colored logos on the dasher boards for Pride Night. The team said there will be several activations on the concourse, including a pride-themed photobooth near Section 225 and custom pride pins available for fans. Special merchandise such as pride-themed t-shirts and hats will be sold in Isles Lab, while a Rainbow Cookie Milkshake is set as the concession Item of the Game.

The Islanders are working with two Hockey with a Heart Charities for this event: Long Island Pride Lions and NYC Pride Hockey Association. Members of these organizations were invited to participate in pregame activities at UBS Arena.

Long Island native Dan Kiernan has been selected to perform the National Anthem before Thursday’s game. Fans attending can also enjoy additional experiences like a claw machine for pregame entertainment and purchase “Hockey is for Everyone” Mystery Pucks at the Community Relations Table near Sections 109/110, though supplies are limited.

The Islanders’ continued celebration of Pride Night reflects ongoing efforts within professional sports to promote inclusivity and show support for diverse communities.
