The New York Islanders released their weekly Prospect Report on Apr. 13, providing updates on the progress of several junior, collegiate, and European prospects. The report details recent playoff performances and season statistics for players in the Islanders’ system.

Quinn Finley and the Wisconsin Badgers narrowly missed out on a national championship title after falling 2-1 to the University of Denver. Finley, drafted in the third round (78th overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft, recorded three shots on goal and one blocked shot during the final game. Earlier in the tournament, Wisconsin defeated North Dakota—home to fellow Islanders prospect Sam Laurila—in a close semifinal match.

Finley ended his junior season ranked second on Wisconsin with 33 points (17 goals, 16 assists) over 37 games. His five points during this year’s NCAA Tournament included notable contributions against Dartmouth and Michigan State.

In Ontario Hockey League action, Kashawn Aitcheson continued his strong playoff run with three points—including a power-play goal—as Barrie Colts took a series lead over Ottawa. Aitcheson was selected by New York in the first round (17th overall) of the 2025 NHL Draft and currently ranks fifth on his team with nine playoff points through five games.

Other prospects featured include Luca Romano of Kitchener Rangers who has three points across six OHL playoff games; Tomas Poletin from Kelowna Rockets who notched an assist as his team trails Everett Silvertips; and Jacob Kvasnicka leading Penticton Vees with nine postseason points despite being held scoreless early in their WHL second-round series.

The report also provides updated statistics for additional prospects competing across leagues such as Russia’s Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), Sweden’s HockeyEttan, NCAA teams including Notre Dame and Boston University, as well as others throughout Canadian major juniors.
