Former John F. Kennedy High School standout Lia Fong played on Thursday, May 15 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division III Softball Championship

On Thursday, May 15, former John F. Kennedy High School standout Lia Fong’s current collegiate team the Swarthmore Garnet won 6-2 against the Messiah Falcons in the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

The game took place at Tom and Betty Broyles Field at TowneBank Park at 1:30 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Messiah Falcons in the tournament.

The Swarthmore Garnet’s next game will take place on Friday, May 16 at 11 a.m. at Tom and Betty Broyles Field at TowneBank Park.
