Republican Leader Ed Ra, a member of the New York State Assembly, shared messages on social media marking Good Friday and Easter Sunday, as well as commenting on energy policy in New York.

On April 3, 2026, Ra posted: “On Good Friday, I hope you find day of peaceful and quiet reflection. Have a blessed and meaningful Good Friday. https://t.co/COxl7QYoKj”.

Two days later, on April 5, 2026, he wrote: “Wishing everyone a wonderful and blessed Easter Sunday. I hope your day is spent with family, friends and loved ones and all Easter eggs are found safely, in good condition. Happy Easter! https://t.co/sUxrftna84”.

Addressing state energy issues on April 6, 2026, Ra stated: “Strong and thoughtful piece from @NYS_AM Energy Ranker Assemblyman Scott Gray on the need for reliable, affordable energy in New York. Advanced nuclear must be part of the conversation. https://t.co/q8Sl6c2agr”.

Ed Ra is a Long Island native who was first elected to the New York State Assembly in 2010. He lives with his wife Laura and their shelter dog Carter (official biography). Ra holds degrees from Loyola College in Maryland (B.A., computer science), St. John’s University School of Law (J.D.), and Benjamin N.
