Republican Leader Ed Ra, a member of the New York State Assembly, recently addressed energy policy and local topics in a series of posts on his social media account.

On March 20, 2026, Ra commented on proposed changes to New York’s emissions deadlines. He stated, “A schedule change won’t solve NY’s energy woes. Adjusting the timeframes is only part of the solution. We need a path forward that is realistic, reliable & fair for all. My response to Gov. Hochul’s announcement seeking changes to emissions deadlines: https://t.co/ZcezvrSYGs”.

Earlier that day, Ra posted a brief message reading simply “March.”

On March 22, 2026, he posted another short message referencing “#Johnnies,” which can be viewed at this link.

Ed Ra has served in the New York State Assembly since 2010 and is known for focusing on transparency in state budgeting, fighting public corruption, and improving public safety. He holds degrees from Loyola College in Maryland, St. John’s University School of Law, and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
