Congresswoman Laura Gillen shared updates on her recent meetings and legislative priorities through a series of posts on March 25, 2026. The posts highlight her engagement with local businesses, healthcare leaders, and legal professionals in New York.

In her first post, Gillen stated: “Today, I met with Addapt NY to discuss how we can enhance our national security, save taxpayer dollars, and support local Nassau County businesses that are strengthening our economy.” (March 25, 2026).

Later the same day, she addressed healthcare issues following a visit to Mercy Hospital Long Island. She wrote: “After visiting @MercyHospitalLI earlier this month, I was glad to sit down with Dr. O’Shaughnessy from Catholic Health to talk about our fight in Congress to lower health care costs and ensure our hospitals can continue delivering high-quality, affordable care to Long Island” (March 25, 2026).

In another post that evening, Gillen emphasized the importance of legal integrity and access to justice. She said: “As a former attorney, I believe it is vital to advance and protect the rule of law, equal access to justice, and the integrity of the legal profession.

I was glad to meet with @NYSBA to discuss their work and how Congress must advance justice both in and outside the courtroom.” (March 25, 2026).

Congresswoman Gillen represents parts of Nassau County in New York’s Third Congressional District. Her recent public statements reflect ongoing efforts by lawmakers nationwide to address economic growth at the local level, improve healthcare affordability and quality for constituents, and uphold principles central to the American legal system.
