Assemblyman Jake Blumencranz, a member of the New York State Assembly since 2022, addressed several issues in recent social media posts, including condemnation of hate, support for local schools, and ongoing concerns he has raised.

On March 9, 2026, Blumencranz posted: “I stand against hate. Gracie Mansion is not a private residence—it’s owned by New Yorkers. When its occupant, the First Lady, has reportedly liked content glorifying the 10/7 terror attacks, we must demand clear and unequivocal condemnation. ⁦@ADL⁩ https://t.co/IIgtDBhd9A”.

Two days later on March 11, he wrote about efforts to support West Side Elementary School: “Our community is strong—West Side Elementary’s legacy must endure. I’ve been in close touch with Supt. Monastero to ensure that we secure every state resource to rebuild quickly. https://t.co/sUfNt0ItHb”.

Later that day on March 11, Blumencranz added: “I’ve been sounding the alarm https://t.co/VZAzSnToe2”.

Blumencranz won election to the New York State Assembly in November 2022 and began serving after his victory (official biography). He holds advanced degrees from Rice University and the London School of Economics and previously worked as a business executive and in Nassau County District Court before his election (official biography). His legislative priorities have included promoting academic opportunities such as trade schools and traditional education pathways as well as advocating for fiscal responsibility through tax relief for homeowners and middle-class families while addressing safety and education initiatives (official biography).
